OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz

OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz (further – SN-MNG) is one of the first industrial associations of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra (further – KhMAO-Yugra), which stood at the origins of the West Siberian oil and gas complex development. The Enterprise has been tracing its roots since August 1, 1964 when Megionneft, the first oil field office in the Nizhnevartovsk region, was established for development of Middle Priobie Greenfields. In the past decades, Megion oilmen achieved great success in the operating activity and made an essential contribution to strengthening of the KhMAO-Yugra industrial capacity. In the 1990s, such enterprises as Nizhnevartovskneftegaz, Langepasneftegaz, Varieganneftegaz were established on the basis of the production facilities founded by Megionnefegaz’s team.

Today SN-MNG is a modern enterprise with the developed operational infrastructure, which mainly focuses on crude oil and gas production, additional appraisal of oil and gas fields, well drilling and operation.

At present SN-MNG produces crude oil in the Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut and Nefteyugansk regions of KhMAO-Yugra. A greater part of operated fields is Brownfields. Due to this fact, the Enterprise is continuously searching for high-performance methods of raw hydrocarbons production. SN-MNG was awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in Science and Technology for implementation of innovative technologies and engineering solutions, which allowed bringing difficult-to-recover reserves into active development and multiply increasing the oil production rate at the Brownfields in the 2000-th.

Now, SN-MNG actively develops the infrastructure of the fields (Achimovskoye, Tailakovskoye, Zapadno-Ust-Balykskoye), which exploitation was started in 2004–2009, and extends the resource base. In recent years, the Ostrovnoye and Yuzhno-Ostrovnoye fields were put into commercial development; the Travyanoye, Zapadno-Chistinnoye and Vostochno-Okhteurskoye fields were brought into pilot development.

In 2018, the Enterprise obtained the license for hydrocarbons exploration, prospecting and production at the Polevoy license area and was granted the right for subsoil use in order to perform exploration, prospecting and appraisal of fields at the Yuzhno-Yugansky-1 license area. The government of the autonomous area highly appreciated SN-MNG operational achievements. Under performance results of the year, the Enterprise team won the “Yugra Black Gold” competition in the nomination for “Subsoil Effective Use”.

For many years, SN-MNG has been implementing the comprehensive energy-saving strategy, which includes actions for optimizing the operation mode of process facilities, introducing the advanced equipment and innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency of jobs performed. The SN-MNG Energy Management System was certified for compliance with requirements of the ISO 50001:2007 international standard.

SN-MNG strongly focuses on the industrial / occupational safety and on mitigation of the man-made impact on the environment. The integrated system for management of occupational, industrial, fire, environmental safety and emergency prevention is in force in the Enterprise. This system conforms to the international standards of OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System).
