OAO NGK Slavneft and the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra signed a supplementary cooperation agreement outlining the Company's social assistance program in the region for 2013. The document was signed by Yu.Ye. Sukhanov, President of OAO NGK Slavneft, and Nataliya Komarova, Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra.
Under the newly signed agreement, this year, Slavneft will allocate 100 million rubles for charity work in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra. As in the previous years, the major part of these funds, 89 million rubles, will be spent for social projects in the city of Megion, where the employees of OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz, the Holding's key oil producing Subsidiary live and work. In 2013, the corporate social investments in development of the Nizhnevartovsk Region will amount to 10 million rubles, and 1 million rubles will be spent in the Surgut Region. Another 3 million rubles will be allocated for financing of the district projects and activities to support mass and professional sports, science, education and culture.
OAO NGK Slavneft regularly signs long-term cooperation agreements with the governments of the regions of Company's operations. Such fundamental documents outline the general principles, forms and priorities of the parties' cooperation in economic, financial, budget, environmental and social spheres. Concrete cooperation parameters including corporate liabilities on financing of socially essential events and projects are determined and specified in supplementary agreements which are signed annually.
In partnership with the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra, Slavneft has invested over 500 mln rubles into the Region's social development over the past five years (2008-2012). Of this amount, 365 million rubles were spent for financing of charity projects in Megion. The corporate social investments were mainly used to enforce infrastructure of social establishments, city hospitals and schools, implement municipal children's recreational programs and render assistance to veterans and the disabled organizations. Over the past years, the Company has participated in construction of an ambulant clinic at Vakhovsk Settlement and a chapel at Vata Settlement (Nizhnevartovsk region). Besides, reconstruction and development of city square in Megion have been launched.
